What is the name of your state? Florida
.
My franchise has just been terminated. I have a licence that is worth 42K (that's what they are selling them for) but the franchisor won't credit me anything twards my debt. On top of that they claim that all actions must be in Tennessee and not in florida. When I started the business I had little money, and even though they required a miminum 15K down they took only 10K because I had such little money. I went straight into a debt hole and could never dig myself out. Do I have ANY defense at all? Can I file suit in florida (the original document I signed didn't mention tennesee, but when I got renewed it did)? Does the fact that they gave me the franchise with such little money and bad credit give me any defense? Thank you for any advice, I need it!!
