We just closed on a house and moved in 2 weeks ago in Iowa. We were unaware that the previous owners cat had urinated on the carpets that were installed in 2000. There was nothing noting this in the disclosure and our realtor and ourselves were not informed of this by the owners or their realtor, if we had our offering price would have been lower. What, if any, course of action is available to us in regards to getting the prevous owners to either get the carpets cleaned or replaced?

Thanks.
