What is the name of your state? ny

i would like to know if both divorcing parties who have already appeared in court and agreed with all the conditions of the divorce are already legally divorced. the papers were drafted by lawyers of both parties and were sent to the husband and wife for signature. how long does it take to receive the final papers signed by the judge? if they havent received yet the final papers from the judge, can either one of the divorced parties marry their respective fiancees immediately?

As long as it takes.

You can do anything you want. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.

Excuse Bali Hai he's a bit cranky ( but funny ) . You are not legally divorced until the judge sgns off so postpone the matrimonials . Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire .

You can if you want to risk a bigamy charge. And you will need a copy of your divorce decree to get a marriage license. Unless you lie about that.
