What is the name of your state? Al but MS jurisdiciton

I don't know if any of you remember, but my stepdaughter's mother is the NCP and lives in MS. She has visitation once a month, on the third weekend. The order says she is suppose to call 72 hours before visitation to confirm it will happen. She hasn't been here since April 21.

Well, my stepdaughter came up with a plan and it worked. She called her mom on Sunday evening and told her that she was planning to go on a trip to Ruby Falls with her church group if her mom wasn't coming for visitation. Her mom said that my stepdaughter's little brother (he's 3) had a soccer game Saturday and she didn't want to
miss it but that she would call and let her know for sure. My stepdaughter told her that
she had to know by Monday (yesterday) for sure because that was the last day to sign up.
She called her mom yesterday evening at 6 and left a message that she had signed up since her mom hadn't called and for her mom to call her. Later her mom called, all bent out of shape because she "had planned to get up early Saturday and drive to AL and spend the day with her because the soccer game had been canceled". My stepdaughter then said, "Since I left that message I got a call from my pastor and the trip has been rescheduled to the next weekend, so I'll be here to see you". Her mom kind of hem-hawed around but said she'd be here "at lunch time" on Saturday and that they'd "do something" together. She couldn't very back out since she'd thrown such a hissy fit. My stepdaughter was pretty pleased that her reverse psychology worked.

Smart Kid! Although, I do feel badly for her that she has to resort to such "deception" (sorry, no offense, can't think of a better word) to get her mother to spend some time with her.
