It really is that simple. Until you are 18 (not 17 - 18) you live where your parents say you live.

If your mom and dad will let you, sure. If they say no, it’s no.

Depending on the state, Brianna may be able to leave home at 17 if she finishes school FIRST. But the state name is really important.
