I live in arkansas and wish to get married in Mississippi. I am old enough to consent w/o my parents but not over 18 in order to get married in Mississippi do i have to be a resident of the state of Mississippi?

Why on earth do you want to get married ??

In AK you need to be 18.. in Mississippi, for some unknown reason the age is 15 for the girl and 17 for the male. However, if you cross state lines and marry in Mississippi you can be charged as you have broken Arkansas law.

There is no reason what so ever for you to get married so young. You will be divorce within a few years so why go through the pain ?
