What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

We are grandparents raising at 15 years old grandson. He has been in trouble since last year. He is going to an alternate school as of right now. And he is on probation for 9 more months. He has not straightened up. He is verbally abusive. Sneaks out at night, His curfew is 7:00 p.m. At least twice a week he does'nt abide by that and on weekend, might not come home till next day. Refuses to tell us where he has been. If we call him in to the probation officer he will get a slap on the hand and goes to court again, again,(might be assign to do community service) but we in turn have to pay a court fine each time we go in there with him.
As grandparents I feel we cannot keep up with this child. We are both in our
60's and we are running out of options. He does not want to live with us, tells us there is no reason to go to school. He does see a court appointed therapist/counselor.Are there any special homes teens can be put in?

There are special homes for teens. They are rough $200-300/day so you would need to find a funding source. Since he is already at an alternate school, you may want to approach the school district about placing him in a residential school (Residential Treatment Center).

Do you have custody or guardianship? Was/is CPS involved? Why is he not living with his parents?

OP has not mentioned anything that would show the district's involvement in an RTC placement would be warranted. Granted, the OP was very sparse on background.
