Is this your homework?I've seen numerous times that some states release juvenile records to the FBI, and others don't, in regards to NACLC background checks. My question is, which states don't? Virginia specifically. I can't seem to find that information anywhere.
What do you mean?Is this your homework?
She means are you researching homework for a class you are taking or asking about your own legal situation. If this is in regards to your own issue you will need to provide the details of your conviction. What do you mean?
I mean are you asking this question, because you are required to answer it for a grade. What do you mean?
This isn't school work. This is for the state of Virginia. As for why I want to know, I was curious as to whether or not my underage drinking charge would show up on a NACLC background check for a security clearance, which all depends on whether or not Virginia releases juvenile records to the FBI.I mean are you asking this question, because you are required to answer it for a grade.
if you aren't, then try to tell us the state you are asking about, and why you want to know.
I don't have time to read this, so since it's your question you can read it:This isn't school work. This is for the state of Virginia. I don't see anything pertaining to my question in that link.I don't have time to read this, so since it's your question you can read it:
http://www.djj.virginia.gov/About_Us/Legislation/pdf/Legislative_2007_Handbook.pdf
If your question is not answered by this document, nor in the legal links therein, come back.
I'd say you're mistaken and didn't read enough.I don't see anything pertaining to my question in that link.
All I see on that link that could pertain to my question is the failed legislature in regards to destroying fingerprints. I'll have another look.I'd say you're mistaken and didn't read enough.
It's for the Army, not FBI. I don't plan on hiding such a petty crime, as I've already admitted it to my recruiter. Was just curious about how Virginia handles juvenile records in regards to national background checks. If Virginia doesn't release, it still helps a lot even if I admit.Although you record may be sealed, if you are trying to join the FBI you will be required to submit to a LDT. If your offense was just a MIP...let them know. Do not try to hide past misdeeds. IMHO.
