My 16 year old son decided to "borrow" my wife's company car without her permission and had an accident. Her agreement that she signed states that if she allows someone to drive her vehicle then she will be responsible for any damages. I feel that I'm pretty much liable for this since he is a minor even if I didn't authorize him to drive this car. How screwed am I ???? lol

Big time. Of course, you can pass some of the anguish to the responsible offspring.

My response:

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with the XJudge. Since you and your wife left the keys available, or "findable" by the boy, you created an "attractive nuisance"

So, it's your, your wife's, and your son's fault.

If I was on the jury, I'd assess 75% to the boy, 12.5% each to both you and wife.

So, slap the crap out of him, using only 75% of the force you'd usually use. Then, you and the wife can slap each other. Ooooh, sounds interesting already !
