What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? indiana. My daughter was 17 when she was prosecuted for theft. She is now 18 and has fullfilled all requirements of that prosecution. The retail store where the crime was committed is now coming after me for 300 dollars in a civil law suit. Can they
hold me responsible.

You were her legal custodian at that time as well as legally liable for her. So yes, they can sue you for their losses due to your MINOR child.
