Queen of the Not-Rights
Tricare is what we had when he was active duty. I am not sure if it will be the same. He has been rated as disabled from a head and arm injury he sustained.
Kaza, your other thread is closed, but I wanted to address the Tricare/ChampVA difference. Unless he is retired from Active Duty (medically retired would have the same effect), you son will NOT be covered by Tricare. And only if your ex is 100%, permanently disabled will your son be covered by ChampVa. You need to find out which coverage (if either) your ex is entitled to.
