lots foreclosure
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have purchased two small lots in Port Charlotte county,Florida since 2006. I have paid it in full since 2006 and I have my deeds and other documents (notorized) to prove that I am the owner and have paid it in full. Recently, Florida Community Bank's lawyers sent me a letter stating that they are going to seize and foreclose my lots. Apparently, the previous owner collected money from me and did not paid the Bank. Consequently, the Bank can not locate this person and decided to foreclose my lots. Apparently, this individual committed a scam on me and the bank. I was not able to contact this individual and I do not know where to locate him. Do I have a case against the Bank? Is there any hope for me in fighting this case? If so, do you have any ideas how much a lawyer may charge to represent me for this case? Money is concern to me because I am 66 years old and receiving SSI.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Nobody can respond. You locked your thread.
What did the title company/attorney through whom you closed say when you asked about the disbursement of the payoff funds they sent?
