What is the name of your state? CA

"Kin Care" is the term being used to describe the new California requirement that employees be allowed to use up to half of their accrued sick leave benefits to care for a sick family member.

As decribed above can someone use Kin care if their parent is in the hospital? I would think that the care will be done by the hospital staff in this case and not the employee. Could care be that someone is just there staying at the hospital?

Thoughts?
