What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Idaho
I work in a small shop that requires repetative arm movement. When I was hired on I was working side by side with one of the owners. Since August I have been doing the job by myself. It is the busiest time of the year and the work load is getting bigger and my responsibilities have increased. In the past 5 months I have been experiencing moderate to intense pain in my right arm. I informed the two owners as well as the manager of this and was told that if I could not do my job and was in that much pain to find work elsewhere. I have taken the past couple of days off because the pain became so severe that I have trouble lifting it or grasping anything with my right hand. I am a single mom with no health insurance. Will Workers Compensation be able to help me or am I on my own?
I have not been to a doctor yet. As I said before, I am a single mom of two with a lot of bills. I am afraid to add another bill on top. I do plan on seeing a doctor.

Am I qualified to make a claim?

I am a single mom of two kids and no health insurance. My employer does not provide insurance and has told me that the job can be hard on the body. I cannot afford a medical bill on top of my other bills. I want to know if I have a legitimate case to file a claim.

First I am not attorney. I am an occupational nurse. I would advise you to contact your local DOL. Their # should be listed in the government sec of your phone book. If they do not help you consult with an attorney. At the very least you should be able to file a claim and be evaluated by a doctor.

Of course you can FILE a claim. Whether that claim will be approved is difficult to predict, but you ALWAYS have the right to file.
