What is the name of your state? IL
I recently moved from one apartment to another. My rent was set up to be directly debited from my account. Upon moving from the apartmetn the leasing agent told me that it would be cancelled.
However, the funds were still debited from my account for the month of June in error. The leasing company told me it would take 2 weeks to refund me and that they would not refund me for the insuffiencient funds fees that it caused on my account.
Can I take any legal action?

You could try to send them written letter via certifed mail explaining again that the error they made also caused your acct to run short and have NSF fees and if they dont reimburse you for the fees you will take your chance in small claims court and perhaps a judge will agree with you wich would mean not only the NSF but all filiing cost as well.
