Arizona,

I rent through a property management company. I was late on my rent and had been in contact with my property management company about the lateness.

The owner of the home, is an investor in the company that I work for. He made a comment to on of the executives in my company that I was late on my rent.

Then my boss came to me and brought this up with me.

This has happened 2 months in a row, and I'm am trying to get a promotion in this company.

Does the owner of the property have the right to conact my employer about my late rent? If not, what kind of resouce do I have against him?
