I live in Los Angeles California and my landlord in tearing down my building, I've been given 30 days notice and offered $2000 plus my security deposit of $795.
Is that amount seem right and do I have to vacate in thirty days. Can I take longer if I cannot find a new apartment?

If you have no lease then take it, and make sure you get it in writing ,,,,,,,

If you have a lease you can probably get more.

NO time to look?.....You hvae a job with some benefits right? USE THEM.....

use your sick, vacation, and personal days to find a new place to live.
