What is the name of your state? North Carolina

my grandmother owns the property I have lived on for 17 years.
I have a mobile home on it.

I have paid lot rent for 17 years

in her will the property is to be sold & divided between her 4 kids.

do we have any say in this?

My response:

A "say" in what? How the property gets divided and to whom it goes? Are you wondering whether or not you have some sort of ownership interest in the land, all because you've been paying rent for 17 years?

If that's what you're asking, you have seriously GOT to be joking. Either that, or living in a trailer for all these years has got you thinking like a Georgia Hillbilly.

Thanks for the trailer trash story!

you are sooooooo rude!

you must be a yankee or either you Mom didn't give you the proper upbringing

For others who are reading, I know the will says to sell land & divide between 4 children...A real estate man told me to look into a quick claim deed, being that I lived there for 17 years.

**A: hahaha, that real estate man is an idiot. He has no say and neither do you.

MY RESPONSE: Actually, you need one more "o" before you can accuse me of being rude.

MY RESPONSE: Yes, Scarlet, I am. And frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!

MY RESPONSE: Either you're so befuddled about what you were told, or your "real estate man" didn't know what the hell he was saying. What are you going to do? - - Are you going to put a gun to granny's head and say, "Here, sign THIS you old bag of crap! I want that land!"

Good luck.

I don't know why the OP is worried. If the land is going to her grandmother's 4 kids then she should be all set. I mean, 2 out of the 4 are her parents, right?

I'm sure your Mom/Aunt and Dad/Uncle will help you out. If not, well that's why trailers have wheels!!! (Insert Dueling Bangos here)

My response:

Perhaps, but not necessarily so. In those portions of the southern States where trailers are allowed (and that's quite a lot), that's not necessarily how they breed. Her mother could be her sister.

In that case, insert Jack Nicholson impression here. "She's my sister, she's my mother. She's my sister, she's my mother."
