i'm living in california and am living in a apartment with on site washer and dryer. recently the owner has taken out the washer and dryer and the property management co. (our technical landlord) isn't doing anything, and our rent is being raised from $425/mo t $450/mo what are our rights? do we have to pay rent while we are denied access to the washer and dryer? thanks katrina

Probably NONE........

#1 Unless you have a lease that says a washer/dryer is included in the rent, OR it was stated in the newspaper ad that led you to call this place and sign a lease... then its at the landlord behest...he can take it out anytime they want to.

#2 dont like the the increase in rent with no washer/dryer...time to move!
