Landlord right of access

Our landlord, in Maryland, entered our apartment without any advance notice and there wasn't any emergency. I believe that I must receive an advance notice of 24 hours. Is this in violation of federal/state law? What are my options?

I'm no lawyer and I'm not too sure but I'd be pretty pissed.

If that had happened to me, I mean with NO phone call
or 24 hours notice, I'd change the locks, if you plan
on staying there.

Go to your Maryland home state page and try to get into
the housing laws. I live in CT and they a page there. Lots
of "mumbo jumbo" that I can't understand but maybe you'll
find something there.
