What would be the benefit to the landlord to split a shopping center into 2 tax parcels?
Our landlord split out the anchor tenant into a separate tax property that excludes any parking, landscaping or greenspace. Does this materially change our leases without our knowledge? Is it legal to shift the tax burden for the parking lot, etc to all of the small businesses which are tenants?
