I'm in Boise, Idaho and I have a serious issue with my landlord. Besides being overwhemlingly, and uninvitingly involved in our personal issues, he has made our everyday lives full of drama. Not only is there no official lease to the house (he says he can't find it, and no copy was ever given to us), but he is trying to kick us out of here without proper written notice, within the next two weeks. He has also threatened repeatedly that he can have us evicted with a three-day notice. Is that possible? We have never missed a rent payment or even been late with one. Also, he has always insisted on being paid in cash and just recently signed a receipt, but with hesitation. Is there some insurance scam that he could be pulling, and how could we get him investigated? We have also done much work to the house and yard, without reimbursement from him. Is there anyway we can sue him for this money that earned him equity?

Another STUPID TENANT!

Come on man you give people MONEY and you leave without a lease?

You pay in cash with no reciepts?

You spend your own money on someone elses property,

And you expect to be treated fairly?

How do we know YOU are not as corrupt as the landlord?

With no reciepts you could be involved in this scam too.
