This is an update on my previous message. I had written about having to either get rid of my cat or move I did and was still told to move. Then we were being blamed for the roaches found in another apartment. The landlord had been complaining to all his friends and was over heard saying things that are not true about us. Well the cat (my best friend) is now gone, when the man came and sprayed for roaches there were none or any evidence that there was any, and now we get a letter from them tell us to get out by Aug 1st when he had told me we could take 2 months if we needed to find another place. This letter also says that they want the rest of the security deposit. Why do they need that if they are telling us to get out? I need time to try and get some money together to find a place and move. I do not work, I got hurt on the job almost 3 years ago and have a very limited income, and on top of this have gotten a divorce and am now fighting my x for what is mine and my half of the house. Then to have my Landlord turn on me just like that, having to get rid of my cat for nothing just put the icing on the cake. Through all this the landlord has never come into the apartment to investigate the so called complaints never given us a written notice with the complaint on it and a time limit to resolve it. What rights do I have?
