I live in a complex and I have a lease, the complex was sold, but before we were told we could have pets for a fee,but nothing ever was to come of this. The new company took over and we got a pet before this took place. Well scince then I got an Evction notice and got rid for the dog I have written to them many of times to ask permission to have the pet, because the lease says not wihtout written premisson. I have made other provisons for the dog but in doing some foot work I found these other pets to be linsed to addres at he complex,do I have a case?

Well of course you never got anything in writing DID YOU?

Especially a fee for a dog..

And how come I have NEVER heard of anyone getting an evcition notice for a CAT?

Dont think you have much to stand on, unless they discrimate against you by allowing other people to keep a dog .....if the other people paid a deposit then the new owner would have to honor that.

I guess you learn a lesson from this, if the management wants a deposit for a pet then PAY IT ON THE SPOT.....and get a numbered reciept, then they cannot change their minds!

You weren't quick enough with the checkbook.
