What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

Long story short, I defaulted on my lease and agreed to move out. My landlord terminated the lease in July. I received no other communication from them, they had my address, phone number, email address and emergency contact, they could easily contact me. Today, I received a final bill. It is october 31, they waited almost 4 months to send me the final bill. I knew I wouldn't get my deposit back and I'm fine with that but am I still legally obligated to pay them the charges they're asking for?

If you owe for these charges, yes.

If you owe for these charges and fail to pay, your landlord may consider filing a lawsuit against you for them. If you cannot show in court that you don't owe for what the landlord is claiming, you will lose the judgement and get filing fees and court costs piled on top of these charges.

If you feel you don't owe for these charges, you can write a letter to the landlord stating you don't and then wait to see what next step (if any) the landlord may take.
