Landlords lied about property

So I live in Kansas, and just rented out a place, on the listing it claimed it had central ac. When I did the walk around the land lord told me it had working ac in it. Once I signed the papers the very next day the landlord claimed he had just noticed all of the ac duct work was ruined and would need to be replaced. I decided I would not move in until it was fix but it’s almost a month now. Is there anyway I can terminate the lease or what would be my options?

Sure.

Just tell him you aren't taking the place and you want your money back.

If he doesn't give you your money back, you can sue him in small claims court.

Ask yourself how AC ductwork might 'get ruined' and then consider that this might be a boon to get out of a train wreck of a place.
