i live in hollywood, florida. i am a landscaper and when i moved into the house i am renting, the yard was in very bad condition ( i took pictures for future reference). at the end of my lease, am i leagally able to remove any shrubs, bushes and trees that i installed. secondly, if the landlord refuse to allow me to remove them can i request payment? my lease does state that the property is to be returned to its original condition.

Thats an intersting twist on the problem, you need to return the property to the disaster it was in, when you moved in.....you are landscaper and you have the BEFORE pictures to boot.

I would seek a legal opinion first, find a good landlord tenant lawyer a consultation is cheap usually $25 or $50,for 1/2 hour, and most local bar association will help.

Then a lawyer might say you should sue the landlord FIRST, and let a judge decide, if the landlord should pay you, or you can remove them... OR if you just gave the landlord a nice little free gift!
