lanlord using my electric

hello,
i rent a 3 room cottage in back of landlords house.in Hollywood fl,the problem is wash room is in my cottage and i the machines are on my electric,i pay this man 725.00 month 4 three roms idont understand why he gets to wash his clothes on my electric.there is nothing i signed saying he can use my electric.i cant stop him as soon as i go out he uses machines.why must tenant pay for him to wash his clothes.someone please help

Check with your city if they have any tenant information to learn if there is any requirement locally or in your state govt web page links for landlord and tenant . that dictates wether any so called utility sharing is legal or not . In some states clearly any utiltity that another resident can use but is paid for by anyone else but the LL is considered a common utility and the LL in that situation must have the bill for that utility use that is shared put into the LL name . Some times utility companys also have this information available as well . so do some more research and go from there .

**A: do you have a separate electric bill? If so, demand that he pay his share.
