i rent a home in san jose, ca on a monthly basis for the past 8 years. my rental agreement states that i payed first & last months rent of $1200 and a security deposit of $300.the rent has increased over the years to $1800. the landlord has never asked for any aditional last month deposit with rent increases. can my landlord asked for the differance in the last months rent when i give notice to vacate? need advice.
