my girlfriend ownes a modular home in northwest in. she pays $253 month lot fees to the trailor park. in january she was late with the rent and they charged her a $25 late fee. the rent has been on time every month since but she never paid the late fee. now they have been charging her $25 month every month and say she owes $125 in late fees.
that comes to 100% interest a month. is this legal?

Your girlfriend is lucky that she hasn't recieved a letter to vacate yet. According to your statement, she was late in January and was assessed a $25.00 late fee. She should have paid. I do the same thing to my tennants. However, I don't let them go this long. If they don't pay up within the next month, they are given notice to vacate. I don't know about you but, My creditors don't want to hear my problems, they want their money. She should pay up and consider herself lucky that she's still there.
