Injury damage case (Florida)In litigation three years. Many, many postponements by powerfull opposing counsel. My attornry withdrew at the last minute. Opposing counsel immediatly filed for summary judgment. Court allowed me thirty days to find another. Unable to find counsel who would go up against them. Notified court by affidavit I would defend myself. If I find counsel in the interum, will the court allow me to change that format?

My response:
My only suggestion to you is that you keep looking . . . call your State Bar for referrals, contact lawyers from your yellow pages if you have to. Summary Judgments are devastating in that, if won, can take away your right to a trial of certain issues or of the entire case. In other words, your case could live or die at the time of the hearing on the Summary Judgment. You should be in consultations 8 hours a day until such time as you are able to hire an attorney. You don't have much time.
Good luck to you.
