What is the name of your state? FLORIDA

My mom co-signed on a loan a few years ago and of course the guy she co-signed for never paid the loan so they went after her. She set up a payment plan with the lawfirm representing the loan lender. $110 a month. She has been paying that every month, no missed or late payments. ALL OF A SUDDEN, WITH NO NOTIFICATION WUTSOEVER...the lawfirm wiped out her bank account and she now has a negative balance of $9500! The original loan was for $4000 some odd dollars. When i called the legal dept of her bank they said something like in the state of the Florida they can double it? And then there was this other fee of $1,208!?!? Is this legal? Can they do all this without notifying her? She has called the lawfirm numerous times and they have not called back. She has no money excpet for what she has in a savings acct. I do not make enough money to pay her bills or even the mortagage. We could lose our house. PLease, if anyone has any advice, please lemme know. I dont wanna get a lawyer unless i know i have a case since we dont have the money for one. These people are heartless monsters who have no idea what their actions have caused.

Thank You.

We recvd a WRIT OF GARNISHMENT from the bank that the lawfirm had sent them so they could steal the money outta my mom's acct. The bank charged a $100 fee to my mom b/c of this. Banks are wonderful. How can the lawfirm double the amt of the original loan and do all this even when my mom was paying $110 a month? Can we do anything? Any legal recourse? Or should we just start packin up now since we will prob lose our house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!
