I owe 8 people $100 each and 5 people $50 each and 1 person $950. These are individuals that I was doing business with. I was supplying products for them to resell. I had some major problems getting items from my suppliers and got behind financially. I originally owed about 50 people either $50 or $100 each and have gradually been paying everyone off. Since I have lost a considerable amount of money on this I have been unable to pay everyone refunds. I am working on it slowly, one refund at a time. I am wonderin if these people can sue me because it is taking me several months to pay them off. Is there any legal touble I can get in with this as far as being arrested or anything? I am trying to get through this and get everyone paid off asap but it is taking some time. I just don't want to get into trouble. Thank you.

No, you cannot 'just be arrested' for not paying a debt. The debt is a civil matter that needs to be adjudicated, not a criminal matter (as long as contempt of court is not involved).

And, yes, anyone can sue anyone... as long as one party feels that they were wronged (whether real or not) by the other party. If you recieve notice of a lawsuit, you need to arrange to pay that one pretty quickly and get it 'non-suited'.
