Is there a waiting period in NYS after your divorce is granted to get re-married? If so how long? Is there is Maryland? The divorce will be granted soon in NYS and I plan to be married in Baltimore county, Maryland right after the court date (as long as it is signed and granted that day in court) Can this be considered legal even if there is a waiting period in NYS? I dont't think there is a waiting period in Maryland. Please help me sort this out. I don't wan't to wind up getting re-married illegally. Thank you.

My ex got married the day after our divorce was final in NYS. In order to get remarried, you need a copy of your divorce papers.
