Hello from Washington State,

My friend had a nasty breakup with a girl he met online. Out of anger, he made up a phony personal account on yahoo using her picture but a made up name. Not long ago he cancelled the yahoo account but it hasn't been taken off the web by yahoo.

Somehow she came across it, she assumed who made it, and sent him e-mails pretending to be her friend and threatening to sue him on her friend's behalf. He knows it is the same person because the IP address matches. The only thing that connects her to this page is the picture and the city/state she lives in.

What do you think he should do, if anything?

He deleted the account with Yahoo, therefore he cannot access the site anymore. He didn't think about deleting everything beforehand. Should he contact Yahoo about this and request immediate removal?

Yeah and he should also pray she doesn't sue him.
