Does anyone know how N.Y law works, involving accidents? I am being sued both myself myself and my father for an accident he had while driving my car. I was not in the car at the time, He borrowed it. Does his insurance kick in for him or is mine responsible for both of us?

I am only a California attorney so I can't say for sure how New York law works. Generally though, the registered owner of the car's (you) insurance is liable for the damages of that injury. I hope this helps.
