In 2015 December I got served with papers for $489 medical bill, I went to court that month the lawyer gave me a sheet of paper to pay him by check $25 every month. I sent him checks starting from January 2016.

Well I got a garnishment filed in may 2017 against me in the mail this past Thursday for $589, apparently he hasn't been cashing the checks I been sending him since September. He has already garnished two of my paychecks, well today a check cleared at the bank and it is the check for the payment I sent in June.

What do I need to do go to my local clerks office or get my self a lawyer?

Cause I feel like he is trying to get more money from me .

Thanks guys

I don't think you want to pay a lawyer $300 per hour to handle this for you. If you had that kind of money you could have paid off the debt a long time ago.

Why not call up the attorney and try to get this straightened out?

Or find the money to pay off the whole debt.
