What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

Basically I just want some opinions on whether or not bringing a lawyer to the child support hearing would make a difference. The father of my child is saying that he is going to if I go down a refile. But I just dont really understand what a lawyer is going to do, and if I would need a lawyer to counteract his. I dont have any extra money.

No. Not that I know of. If you mean throught the public welfare department. then no
so you filed for child support on your own?

my personal opinion, when it's child support....an attorney can be helpful...but not required.

for the most part, it's pretty straight forward. he gets inputed an income, you get inputed an income, dad's visitation time gets inputed.

him having an attorney...is really only a scare tactic.

you might want to look up have an attorney on bundled services. where they just show up at the hearing while you do the research and paperwork.
