Will homeowners insurance cover lead based paint in one's residence?? The home is about 40 years old and may have some lead based paint. If after an analysis it proves to be the case, can a claim be made against homeowners insurance to remedy the problem??What is the name of your state?

No, it does not cover lead-based paint. Most older homes have lead-based paint. You should simply repaint the rooms with a few coats of paint. The lead-based paint generally is not a problem unless the paint is peeling.
