lease agreement

we (me and my sister) r starting a business, and the people handling the lease agreement says my wife has to b on the lease due to community property, that doesn't sound right to me, sounds like the leasing agent just want more people to b responsible in case something happens, thks

Gilbo can`t say I have heard of such a thing for comercial space rental either . But it is comercial space so the landlord can and many do ask for unusual things or Often have lease terms that are very different than residential rental .
