lease termination-my fault?

My apt. lease (in CT) is up in July. My roommate told me that come July her boyfriend would be moving in and I would need to move out. Since this was unexpected, I luckily quickly, found an apt. that was available on May 1st. Since she has asked me to move out, will I still be responsible for my last 2 months rent if I move out? Isn't there something that says that if a roommate says that you cannot renew the lease (not my landlord) that your current lease can go to a monthly one? Am I able to get out without obligations on April 30?

Thats between you and your roommate. Are there any documents such as a lease? What does it say.

I wouldn't think that your roommate would try to collect from both you and her boyfriend, and it is unreasonable for you to have to pay for the boyfriend, but you have to look at the agreement between the two of you to answer the question of responsibility.

Why don't you make an agreement with the roommate. You should have done that before agreeing to move.
