i am being transfered by my employer in which i will have to move. i still have 9 months remaining on my lease. can my landlord make me pay for the remaining time of my lease? i will be giving at least 60 to 90 days notice. i am currently living in glen burnie maryland. thank you

Unless your employer is the military and you are active military, yes you will be liable. You could mitigate your losses by putting an ad in the paper and help show the place to prospects.
