What is the name of your state? California

I didn't see this topic already so hopefully it's not a duplicate.

I am trying to lease option a property due to credit issues. The amount of homes available for lease option are few and far between. I have found one and offered my lease option, but it has a pool, this is a great extra, but wasn't required on my part. The owners are concerned with liability leasing/renting a property with a pool. That is the only hold up on making this work for both of us.
I have offered to pay renters insurance that carrys $500k liability coverage.
What do most landlords do that have a pool in a rental?
What can be provided to them to help ease their concerns?

Perhaps they are raising this to back you off so they can find a buyer who can purchase the property, since it seems obvious they are hesitant to do the deal.

No, they stated this from the beginning.
The real estate agent also said that is their only concern, they are doctors.

The only offer on the house in 6 months was for significantly lower than the sale price and they are not short selling. Firm on the price which was why they liked the idea of keeping it and having income.

I guess I don't understand the situation -

They are marketing the house lease option to buy.

But they don't want to lease the house because of liability.

I don't get how that is anything but a total impasse they are creating.
