What is the name of your state? CA

I own a business and I am planning to file bankruptcy. I can not afford to pay the lease. What if I walk away from it? If the landlord sue me for rent; does my bankruptcy cover that? I own a home. Can they put a lien on my house? Please advice.

You can include the lease in your bankruptcy, so that that debt is discharged.

In order for him to get a lien on other property you own, he has to go to court, get a judgment and THEN put a lien on it.

If he hasn't even sued you yet, you're a long way from a lien.

Hope this information helps.
