Lease

I live in Michigan and I have been served an eviction notice. The lease included is five years old and has my ex-husband's name on it. I called the rental company when my current husband and I married but they did not send us a new lease to sign. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do about the lease they are using.

Your message doesn't explain why you are being evicted. For some general pointers on tenant's rights go to this site's home page and read the section under real estate. Many states have lots of protection for tenants; it might be worth your while to look into the specifics.
