I worked in an assisted living facility in N.C. I had to go to the hospital unexpectedly on Fri. April 13, 2001 and was released on Monday the 16th. So I only missed the 2 days. On Monday when I got home I called my employer and they informed me that I had been put on leave for 3 months. I received no written notification. Now they are saying I will not be able to return unless someone quits, which my position has not been filled. They are constantly asking other co-workers if I have gotten a new job.Now they are telling the other employees I will not be allowed to come back. I gave them no reason to do this. I agreed to the leave to keep from causing conflict but now I am wondering if they is anything I can do. They are still telling people who call for a reference that I am employed and on leave but my co workers are being told I can't come back, is there anything I can do?
