What is the name of your state? New York

I'm 17 and live in NYC... Brooklyn. I just turned 17 on January 18. I've wanted to leave home for quite some time. I'm economiclly stable, I want to move to NC to live with my boyfriend. Would this be legal? Or would I be brought home by the cops or something?

What do you mean by "economically stable"?

Your still 17, and until your 18 you cannot move out on your own, not without the concent of your parents. And seeing your age, I think the last thing you need to do is move im with your boyfriend at 17. Your still young the last thing you need is to be getting pregnant.
Not to mention if you go to court, 'I want to move in with my boyfriend wont cut it.' You'll need a better reason than that.
Are there any problem going on at home? One's that would include, you getting hit or anything like that? Not liking to follow the rules, in the house doesn't count.
