I recently plead guilty on the back of two tickets i received leaving the scene of an accident and driving with an expired licence. i received a letter from the town justice that saya ;Due to the nature of the charges and the penalties that may be attached they will allow me time to contact a lawyer and appear in court otherwise they will accept my guilty pleas. I have since renewed my licence which I also sent a copy of with tickets and am trying to contact a lawyer(he hasnt returned my call yet)My question is in the state of NY can they suspend my licence for this? and what would the max. fine be? and what can a lawyer do for me now?

You need to speak to someone familiar with NY traffic law. I can't tell whether their instructions to you is just a formality or if there are serious consequences to your actions. Check out the names of lawyers at attorneypages.com to find a different, mre responsive lawyer. Good luck!
