I'm in California.. and I've recently received a ticket for tobacco product.

I have a couple questions:
-If I do not appear at court there will be a warrant out for my arrest am I right? If I do so will I be able to leave the country?

-Also, I have already received 3 other tobacco product tickets which at court I did not attend. The cops have given me the same tickets over the warrants I supposedly have, even with entering my name in the computer without arresting me.

I have been told by certain friends that if you're underage they can't see the warrants under your name. Unless maybe if they're felonies, which mine are nothing near. Maybe it's true.

I'm guessing something as little as these minor infractions isn't anything to worry about.

???

Much thanks.

It sounds like you are worrying otherwise you wouldn't have posted. Why do you continue to get tickets for the same thing, and then continue to not show up? Take care of business and you won't need to post such stupid stuff here.

Well if you don't have the money there isn't much to do. You don't realize a tobacco product ticket is $392. Thanks for no help...

Hmmm... so maybe you should quit doing what's getting you these tickets? Just a thought.

So, out of curiosity - what's the potential consequence/cost of several failure to appear warrants?

actually if u dont have the money to pay for the tickets by your court date you can request to pay the fines over time or at a later date....
i believe thats right but you have to show proof of why you need to pay it at a later date

Most courts will allow community service in lieu of paying the fine. Eventually he will be picked up and put in detention if he doesn't man up and decide to be responsibility.
