My sister-in-law left her husband with her three kids today and left a note. He called her cell phone and threatened to call the cops. Thre is no legal separation or child custody since this is the first event. Can she leave with the kids and if so for how long? If she returns with the kids can she leave the kids with her husband and leave without having any abandonment charges? Need assistance ASAP. Located in IL
